I recently installed XP service pack 2 and unistalled it, but I can't seem
to get rid of the meesage at the bottom of my desktop wallpaper that reads
"For testing purposes only, xpsp2 bulid 2600".

Is there a registry entry I have to delete.

Please Help !!!!

Thanks

is SP2 in beta then?

You dont need to worry about getting rid of the message, you need to get rid
of Windows XP Service Pack 2. It's not out and if you did install it you
install a leaked alpha copy. Windows XP Service Pack 2 will not be out
until next year.

Sorry, didnt see that you said you had already uninstall it, good move.

Try removing....

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\CA\Certificates\FE
E449EE0E3965A5246F000E87FDE2A065FD89D4]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\ROOT\Certificates\
