Getting rid of XP service pack 2 message on my desktop

R

Rohan Rasaiah

I recently installed and then uninstalled XP service pack 2 on my computer,
but I can't seem to get rid of from my desktop wallpaper a message on the
lower right corner that says "For testing purposes only, xp sp2 build
2600 - 1633"
Changing the wallpaper is no help. Is there a registry entry I have to
delete in regedit.

Please help !!!!

Thanks

Windows XP SP2 hasn't been released yet - do you mean OFFICE xp ?

There is no legitimate Windows XP Service Pack 2. Microsoft cannot
assist you with fixing a problem you created by installing unauthorized,
pirated, software.

Uninstall the hacked SP2 from add/remove programs and from now on, just use
windows update to download the latest service packs and releases.
