Verticle Line On Desktop I can't get Rid of It

I have a vertical line on my desktop that I can't get rid of. I thought it
might be my monitor, but I just got a new monitor and it's still there. It
all started when I split a document to read both pages. How do I get rid of
this verticle line on my desktop.

Do you see this vertical line while in Word or do you see it all the time?
Do you see it when in the BIOS setup mode?
