Getting Rid of Dell Logo on Startup

How do you skip the Dell Logo on startup? I don't really
need to see it. I can remember which brand of computer I
bought just fine on my own.

Also, I edited the bios so the CD-ROM doesn't check for a
disk or spin up during startup, but now it's doing it
again. How can I keep it from checking for a disc during
startup?

Thanks,

Brian

When your computer boots up, it will say 'press F5 for
setup' or something like that. You'll want to hit the
specified key, which will take you to a series of menus
depending on your model of computer. There will be an
option for what devices to check for bootup, you can just
remove the CDrom from that list, leaving the hard drives.
Again depending on model, there may be an option to not
display Dell logo on startup. Please do not change anythng
else while you are in the BIOS, as you may cause damage to
your computer.

By the way - this would be something more appropriate to
ask in Dell's community website, which Dell employees more
familair with your system frequent (Dell pays them).

Just a quick question:
Did Dell place a Dell weblink in the start menu in lower
right corner?
