Getting My Old Desktop Docs

OK, so I just got a new computer with a nice new HDD, and I decided that I
would give myself a clean install on this new machine on the new HDD.

Now I am unable to gain access to the desktop folder of my last install.
How can I do that without booting off of the old drive?

What happens when you try? Crystal Ball(tm) sez: Access Denied error. If
this is correct, then you just need to take ownership of the files.
