getting information contained in the design table to an excel spreadsheet

I am trying to copy the fieldname data and data fields to
an excel spreadsheet. using the copy function in access
does not provide a paste option in excel.

I'm new to this so theres probably a simple sollution but
i cannot find it in the help instructions

While in Access - With the desired Table Open, Click on the menu Tools,
Office Links,
Analyze it with Excel. Done.

thank you, tried something similar using export or import
and got same results. This brings all the data into a
spreadsheet
but I'm looking to get the table format into a spreadsheet.
i.e filename eg date, verified by etc. and data type
Date/Time, Text etc. all across to the spreadsheet rather
that copying each field individually
