Getting error messages

I have a Compaq D310 Evo Tower. I have Windows XP
Professional, However I mainly use this at home. My
problems are two fold.n the Internet optios. Go to
advanced then down to search. I pick go to the most
likely site. Only that setting doesn't stay set. Then I
also get a erro message trying to go to some web
sites.Like I try to go to the Radio Shack web site. I get
error in iexplore.exe must close.I get the same error
message.I get the same error message for other web sites.
Also in where it says Defaults and setting I hit
Microsoft. That setting doesn't stay set either. I'd sure
like to have these problems fix. Any help appreciated
