Getting double entries

S

Sylvia M

I'm using Outlook Express
( I know I could do better, but no time, and I did look for an OE
newsgroup, didn't find))
I'm getting double entries of some, but not all incoming emails.
I used to know how to correct, but don't remember how.
Can anyone help, please?

Do you have your accounts set up twice?
POP3?
Set to leave messages on the server?

Incoming mail server is POP3.
Account is pop.email.com.
Server name is pop.email.com

But I think that it always has been...

"leave messages on the server" is not checked

Hi Sylvia,

Well I would suggest you to take a backup of Emails in Outlook Express, Then try to Remove all your configured accounts. then try to reconfigure your account

Steps:
File - Export - Massages - Outlook Exxpress 6 - select Destination folder.

When you reconfigure account synchronize with mail server then try to import emails from backup then you should get prompt which ask if should import email which exists in inbox say no so you don't get repeated emails. Hope this should work.

Regards
Chris
