getting disconnected from network

when ever i try to connect to an internet game on
counterstrike i lose internet connection. not only on my
comp but on the other ones also. i took off the
firewall that came with xp but it still doesn't work.
does anyone know how to solve this problem

Well first off what type of internet do u have? ADSL,
isdn, dailup or? Coz normally if it's any thing but Dail
up that has permanent access you'll find that might be
the problem, coz my ADSL some times disconnects me for no
apparent reason, but mine disconnects me in general, even
if i play a game or not so it might be good is to 1.
Check ur modem to see if it's faulty or not, even take it
to a specilist just encase even if u think ur modem is
fine and 2. Check ur isp and see if they are supporting
any dificulties.
