Hello to all,

How do i make my win2000 with SP4 not to ask me to install "Multimedia sound
controller" every time i boot my pc?? how to disable to ask me for this??
because when i install these drivers pc asks me to reboot and that's what i
do, but restarting gives me the BSOD. I have the good old drivers i've
always had. I don't know why this might be happening, using internal audio
driver chipset (AC 97 drivers), no matter which driver version i install, it
is always the same $*@#!^&. Is there a way or a magic trick you gurus might
want to hand me in order to stop this problem??? should install my drivers
or format and install win again, this second approach i don't want, too much
valuable info and software installed here...

Thanks in advance,
JR.

Thanks for your response,

No, i havent update any drivers from winupdate. This problem came when i
tried to install a PCI sound card (Audigy), didn't have the correct drivers
so i didn't install. So i removed that card and re-enabled sound in BIOS and
that's when it started to happen since a few days ago (last week). When i
see the hardware with conflict, i see its properties-resources "there's no
conflict". Is there a way in BIOS i can solve this perhaps??
