Is the new hard drive properly detected and identified by the PC's
BIOS? If not, it may not be jumpered correctly for the way you've
installed it. Refer to the installation instructions that came with
the new drive.
Additionally, the hard drive cannot and will not appear in Windows
Explorer or My Computer until it has been partitioned and formatted.
Right-click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management. Create and format
one or more partitions on the second hard drive as desired.
