getting a not responding message. is data lost

I was typing a long e-mail, went to send, spell checker
kicked in and stopped responding. outlook is not
responding. is there anyway of recovering the information
in the e-mail? please also respond to
(e-mail address removed) if you have an answer.
 
Perhaps not. Do you have a "drafts" folder?

Is the missing information there?
