can't delete sent messages in outbox

I sent 2 e-mails that contained photo attachments, i'm sure they were
too big, anyways I did this on a sunday and they are still sending, I
can't get my mail and i can't delete the messages or get them to stop
sending. I go to my outbox and i can't click on them it doesn't
respond and then i get the message that it is not responding. I have
tried the offline thing and it still is not responding someone please
help me...........
