get the internet on one pc but not on other pc on network.

I had a virus(have a teenager), after I got rid of the virus I can't get the internet on the host computer. I can get it on my laptop. Can anybody tell me what I can do to get my internet to connect on my host computer? I also can't see the two computers when I look at my network groups. Thanks for the help.

Might have to rebuild Winsock, pretty common problem.
Can you ping any of the other computers or the internet
from the command prompt?
