Uninstall the Adobe Reader software. To make sure the uninstall is
clean(er), download and run their uninstaller.

Then reinstall it.

You get that when running their uninstaller program after downloading
it? Or after running their uninstaller and when trying to install their
Reader program?

getplus is Adobe's Download Manager. I remember doing Adobe Reader
installs following by uninstalling their download manager, only to have
to do it again when I installed their Flash player (so install all Adobe
stuff and then uninstall their fluff crap, like their download manager).

http://www.google.com/search?q=+getplus++adobe

In Add/Remove Programs, do you see an Adobe Download Manager listed?
Uninstall it. Then run their uninstaller (cleanup) utility.

Since Adobe wants to incorporate their download manager with an install
(stupid and don't know why they added this in the last major version),
you might have security software (anti-virus, anti-malware, HIPS,
firewall, etc) that is interfering with the operation of their download
manager or its installation. Have you disable your anti-virus software
during the install?

Your "games and videos" require the use of Adobe Reader? You sure it
isn't Adobe Flash Player that you need? Do these online games and
videos require Shockwave (instead of Flash)?

When was the last time you updated your antivirus program and performed
a full scan?

Don't need this one, either.

If you have Acrobat installed, why do you need the *reader* (already
included in Acrobat)?

This is their getplus program.
.
This there get plus program and it won't let me uninstal in add remove and
my AVG antivirus runs every night in the middle of the night and is up to
date so i should uninstall
Acobat.com
Adobe Acrobat 5.0
and there download manager won't let me uninstall
