get error message

I get to the part that says to double-click on the CD-RW
DRIVE, when I click this I get "if you open this it might
cause harm to your system" is it safe to open or is there
another way to open?

My guess is you are trying to install software (a driver) for a camera or
scanner when you get this message. The reason is that the driver is not XP
approved. You can click on "Continue" and ignore this message if the driver
is for Windows 2000. It will work on XP.
You can also go to the Internet site of the manufacturer and see if they
have the driver for XP. You can then download the file and install the
software.
