WinXP Pro : Get DOS Window instead of Task Manager -- DOS
window opens then closes and never get Task Manager.
Same for some other programs like Corel Draw 7.0 Help
tool windows open blank DOS Window.
Have all the latest updates.

This behavior can be symptomatic of virus infection. Scan with current
av ("current" means with a version not older than 2002) using updated
definitions. Is the machine clean? If it is, post back for more help.
