Get date to display in taskbar

I already have XP's taskbar expanded to show two rows, so you'd think
that the clock would have space to show the date. It does do this on
my laptop (shows three rows: Time, Day of Week, Date), but on desktop
systems, only two rows are shown: Time and Day of Week. Not sure why
this would be different. Is there a fix?

Sounds interesting, mine only shows the time and the only way I see the date
(day of week and day of month) is when I hover my cursor over the time, why?

It is created by a 3rd party software install. Unfortunately I do not have the link for you for that download. Maybe someone will have it and will post it

Install Dave's Quick Search Bar from http://www.dqsd.net/ . When
it's not doing something else it displays the day of the week, date, and
time. By adjusting the width of the bar, you can trim off part of it.
This is an amazing program which has hundreds of functions. Just type
a word into the window and it will google it for you. Try "dic foo"
and it will look up foo in a dictionary. Language translation. Lots
of stuff and it's tiny.

Not sure I follow, Peter. I believe this is stock on all XP installs:
If you left-drag the top of XP's taskbar upward, it will expand to
display two rows of running tasks rather than one. This *should*
allow three lines of date/time info, but for some reason, it's only
displaying two (time and day-of-week) on some systems.

Now that I look closer, I may have been misinformed about this. Some
'XP Help' sites say that enlarging the task bar will display 3 lines.
My systems that do this are laptops, so perhaps there was indeed some
3rd party software installed (I didn't see it in WinPatrol's list).

In any event, I loaded TClockEx and it looks great so far. The
IAfrica links don't work, but I found it at:

Nice that the format is controllable and it can display resource
usage, calendar, etc. A nice utility.
