get 0x80040154 when checking for definition updates

After installation, I received error 0x80040154 when checking for definition
updates. I have tried both defender beta 2 and new release version
1.1.1593.0. They all have same error. I am running on W2k3 standard edition.
Any troubleshooting tips please?

Thanks Engel,
The problem is fixed. It seems related to windows update. I choose to
upgrade to Microsoft Update. The install procedure found some registry issues
and fixed it.
