Can this insipid warning from Microsoft about a possible counterfeit
installation of Windows XP be triggered just by installing XP too many times
from the same CD? I have several copies of XP that were purchased as genuine
CD's with volume licensing from a reputable vendor, but several of our
company computers now have that warning constantly showing up after having XP
installed from one of these CD's. I ordered the "kit" offered as a fix by
Microsoft, but it is nothing more than a Windows XP CD requiring a new
installation, and I do not want to wipe these machines clean and start over.
Any help would be appreciated.

Where you will be banned if you don't act right. Where you have to have
a passport account to post. Where no solutions are given other than "buy
a retail copy of XP, you must be a pirate". If WGA were as flawless as
you, Leythos and others maintain, there would be no need for a
troubleshooting forum or WGA fixer tools, now would there?

There are actually 15 ways to get rid of this stupid notifier. I think
the one with unlocker is the easiest way and we have done so for some
computers. It just worked out of the box. No long will you see any
stupid baloons.

Stop trying to be logical with the MicroMorons. It makes what little is
left of their brains hurt! ;-)

Silly of me. Of course, you're right; what was I thinking? I'll be more
careful in the future.

A little too hasty in judgement. What is the OP really writing?
What version of Windows XP is there, i.e., retail, box units, VLK
sets, or what? Very unclear. The forum would be the best place to
resolve such issues and questions just because it is not coming
across "right". Sometimes, WGA can be correct, statistically.
