General Security Question...

Just wanted to see if anyone else has the same problem.
I bought my computer in August 2002, a Dell. I keep it
up to date with security patches, drivers, Norton,
personal firewall. My knowledge of computers is slightly
above average. However, it seems, no matter how hard I
try, my computer always is acting funny. Different error
messages, stalls, security. It's constant. I guess my
question is, am I the only person who has these
problems. It would seem that a lot of computer problems
is being unaware or apathetic, yet I try to do everything
and still have problems. Maybe because I have DSL. My
surfing habits are normal, meaning nothing really risky
if you get my drift. Any tips or thoughts out there?

and scan, remove all detected.

CHUCKY, You appear to actually have a brain. Email me and
we will discuss our mutual problems with hi-speed
processors that are outrunning RAM and physical drives.
In the past 14 months I have garnered much knowledge
since upgrading to the fastest computer and redesigning
to 185% above capacity. I am over 3GHz and still
building. My biggest problem is putting a leash on
reconfigured progs with exponential growth.
