For sometime have experienced an automatic switching off
shortly after boot-up, someimes up to 5x before the
computer will hold. 2 days ago the screen had a change in
colour and the icons enlarged. I tried several things to
get back to normal but no joy. Today I entered MSN for
current XP downloads and found that I was short of 12
crticals - ridiculous as I download regularly. However I
continued to download but all 12 failed to download - I
then noted that half of them had already been downloaded
and installed weeks/months ago which the MSN check did
not pick-up. A couple of weeks back I was emailed from a
correspondent that I had a "teddy-bear" virus, but this
was later withdrawn as a hoax so I ignored it. What sort
of trouble am I in?
