Cannot download attachments in Hotmail !!

Please Help !!
Up until about 2 weeks ago I was able to download
attachments to my MSN e mail address. But now when ever I
try and download to save or open an attachment here is
what comes up.
I am running Windows XP Professional. IE 6.0
The following Dialog Box currently (did not do this until
recently) pops up when I try to download Hotmail email
attachments (either to Open or to Save):

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer cannot download from 65.54.174.250

Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet Site.
The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be
found.
Please try again later.

65.54.174.250 turns out to be the Login page for Hotmail;
and, of course, I'm already logged into and using Hotmail
when this occurs.

Please help me to resolve this issue. Thank you

If you're using a software firewall like the one in Xp SP2, I would turn it
off and try again. I just sent an attachment to my Hotmail account and
opened it ok, but I'm using a hardware firewall, having previously found
that software firewalls (both Windows' and Norton's can create all kinds of
weird problems.
