GDI failure

USB modem works; acoustic software works.
When both run (pretty vital really)......

after a (variable) while...

'GDI Failure'.

What.?
How?
Why?
 
Video driver conflict.

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the video device, Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the
device drivers again automatically.
