Hi everybody,

I have a very annoying problem for which I have not found
the beginning of a solution in the Microsoft knowledge base.

Therefore, I think it requires the experts used to read and
answer topics on this forum :

I have two computers one desktop and one laptop running WinXP.
My desktop is connected to the Internet through DSL and I
want to share this connection with my laptop.

I connected the two computers with the network wizard tool
provided by WinXP, and I got strange results :

- the file sharing works fine
- the internet connection sharing works until a random
amount of time where my desktop which acts as the gateway
reboots alone.

I can not see where this can come from.
Please help.

Thanks,

Nicolas

The first thing I'd do would be to turn off reboot on error (right-click My
Computer, select Properties, then the Advanced tab, then the Settings button
under System Startup. Turn off the automatically reboot option. Then, if
the reboot is being caused by an error, you'll see the error message.
