Who says your drivers must be up to date - the programs themself or some
person(s)? If the programs what is a typical message?
If you say your drivers are up to date anyway (sound and graphics) then have
you also made sure there are no game updates as well?
If the games a few years old ie produced before XP or DOS type games, then
you could try running them in compatibility mode. Try 98 if that doesn't
work try 95.
