Games wont load?

Hi,
I'm new here so bear with me.My games will not load. I get this
pop-up.......ISSET_SE caused a general protection fault in
module<unknown>16F7:0223 3/4. Anybody have a clue what my problem might be??
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I ran Mcafee and found no virus. I'm
at a loss. I'm running windows XP home SP-1. SP-@ is a pain with other
programs so I have not upgraded
