Games last 5-15 minutes and then crash

I just bought a brand new computer (AMD Athalon 2600+, 512
MB Ram, RADEON 9000 128MB VC...) and it came installed
with Windows XP. However, since I bought it specifically
for gaming, when I installed a game (Blizzard's Starcraft)
and began to play it, the computer just randomly closes
the program without asking the user to do so first.

Flash the bios wiuth newer version

What mobo do u have and what sound card?
