game minimizes by itself

since someone used our computer we have had troubles with
a board game we like to play. for no reason it minimizes
back to the desktop screen. how do we make this stop

Does it do that when you start the game or during play? If it does it during
start then simply right click on the Icon, select properties and on the line
with "Run: " select Normal window.
