Game is blocked after installing WINXP SP 2 Update

Why is my game that I have been playing for a year and a half being blocked
after installing the SP2 update?
And how do I undo the block?

'Blocked' - please explain.

Is it attempting to access the internet, if so find out the port it's trying
to use and allow the program or the port access in the firewall settings.

don't worry about it, use system restore to go back to an earlier time
point........
