game exits while playing

could u help me fix an error i seem to have randomly when
i play games, i find myself outside of games unable to
finish game. I have xp windows and are networked with two
other pc's.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Shimmer,

Perhaps you just need to reinstall the game?

Here's how to properly install or reinstall a game (and/or patch):

1. Backup any saved games and/or mods to a safe location.
Save games are often found in My Documents\My Games.

2. Uninstall the game using Control Panel / Add-Remove programs.
* Manually delete the game folder if Add-Remove doesn't work.

3. Clear any references to the game leftover in your registry using this
Registry Cleaner: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download460.html

4. Click My Computer / Rightclick the Drive & Choose Properties
/ Run the "Disk Cleanup..." / Next Click the "Tools" Tab and run
the "Error-Checking" and "Defragmentation" utilities.

5. After a reboot close & exit your Antivirus and any other programs

6. Install the game again from your original CD, do not use a backup.

7. Don't reuse the saved games/mods until you properly test the game.

That behavior could be caused by a lot of things:

Before you start the game, close down anything in the system tray that
you do not need. For example, AOL instant messager can cause games to
flake out like that, so can an antivirus program that is scheduled to
download updates, so can scheduled system mantenance programs, etc.

Then the second thing is that if you keep having the problem, then
posting the NAME of the game and the hardware (particularly the video
card) your running would be MAJOR help.
