My DVD recorder is allocated as my G:\ drive. It works fine playing CD and
DVD media and I can use it to burn via real player etc. However when I use
it to drag pictures to the icon I get an "incorrect function" error message.
This used to open up (in XP) the burn CD dialog box but that is now gone.

In the properties of the DVD recorder drive there is no "recording" tab.

Help!

Hi Mark,

Try opening My Computer, right clicking on your G:\ drive, select
properties, select the recording tab and ensure that their is a tick in '
Enable CD recording on this drive '.

Let me if that helps ?

Sorry Mark, missed that bit in your first message, give me some time and I
will see if I can think of something else that might help you.

Andy,

All sorted now. Thanks.

It was the NoCDBurning flag in "Local Machine" in the registry.
