funny error while trying to load driver

Hi. I'm trying to load the driver for my onboard IDE/RAID to access my fifth
and sixth drives on my board. I have all the drivers I have, and the latest
ones I can find.

But here's the funny part. During "new hardware" it fails saying that the
INF file was written for Windows 95 or later. Why? I have installed
validated XP pro SP2.

ECS D6VAA, dual PIII 933's w/onboard HPT370 IDE/RAID controller. HPT370
bios sees the drives, and when I boot with WD data lifeguard tools CD, the
device and drives are seen there.

Is there something I am overlooking, or a workaround, or ? ? ?

Thanks in advance,

Ted

The Raid Channels will only accept hard drives no cd, dvd drives. Do you
have enough PSU Power for the additional
drives. Try disconnecting a couple of drives and then try installing the
new ones.

They are just hard drives, and not set as a raid array. I have had this
system up once before with the same PSU, same every thing. I just put a
different main drive in it and re-installed windows and want to use it as a
file, etc. server.

Thanks,

Ted
