Functions as text instead of formulating

What is it that causes some of my formulas (typed or
pasted) to display as typed and not the sesult of the
formula? Is there any way to fix this without opening a
new sheet and copying my whole sheet over?

Hi Eric

this happens when the cell that the formula is in is formatted as text
to fix
select cell, right mouse click, choose format cell
change formatting (under number tab) to general - OK
click in formula bar
press enter

The only way I was able to fix this was to delete the
function, change the format of the cell, then manually
type the formula back in. That sucks.

can you copy one page out of the workbook into a blank workbook for me, see
if it still does the same thing and if so email it to me, i'll like to have
a look at this very strange behaviour.

Remove the "remove this"out of my email address
