I have Windows Vista and when i go to play Full Screen games I have other
windows still in my taskbar but minimized and when I stop playing the game
and come back all the other windows are gone. Any Idea how I can get it to
stop doing that? Thx for any help.

Give some more information. What game? is the task-bar still there? does the
display look different when you exit (i.e. different resolution or colors
look different) Does it happen on all games or just one, have you tried
compatibility mode (right click and select properties)

With more information, someone may be able to help.

The game is FEAR, the taskbar is still there but I have it hide, Display is
fine other than it flashes at a low resolution then goes back to normal size,
yeah it happens with other games, too like CSS, I tried compatability but
none of the list show Windows Vista. Thx for responding.

Yes I have a different problem to yours when playing games like F.E.A.R,
Oblivion and The Sims the game stops responding and the taskbar is above
where it's not supposed to and if I move the mouse to where the taskbar was
It shows two of them. Then the whole screen igoes black and I can only see
some of the screen when I roll my mouse over or other times when the
startbar/explorer have been blurred out. Have a look at my post: Taskbar
Flashing and Blurry Madness.

It sounds like iut might be a display driver issue, what card do you use and
what version of the driver?

I use a XFX Geforce 7600GT 256MB AGP 8x card and the driver I am using is
from the Nvidia website which is for Windows Vista 32-bit, Geforce 7 series,
driver version 158.18
I have also discovered today that this doesn't just happen in games, I had
the same problem in Internet Explorer and I lost all the information because
it either flashes rapidly showing the wrong information or it goes black and
I can't see anything. It could possibly be an Aero problem, I'm not sure. If
you need more information, let me know.

It looks like there is a 158.24 driver released (if I read it right), you
might try that. Otherwise, you will probably have to post to Nvidia what is
going on and see if they can help. Another thing to check would be any 3rd
party drivers. I had a lot of problems with my display and it turned out to
be the motherboard driver - at least it seems to have gone away when I
updated it.
