Brian

Does anyone know where I can obtain instructions on doing
a full format on a Win2K PC? For Win98 it was as simple as
putting the boot up disk in and starting it up and so on
but it's not the same for Win2K and I would like to do
this the correct way the first time I try.
Thanks,
Brian

On the drive with the OS? If so, use whatever format utitilities are
included with the OS that you will install after wiping out your current OS
by formatting it. If you're talking about one of your other drives, you can
do it via a GUI by launching diskmgmt.msc or from the command line using
format.com. (format /?)

If you have installed w2k using NTFS, trying to use a W98
boot floppy will not work, as it will not read the file
structure.
You need to boot with the w2k install cd, choose install
and format choose FAT32, let it do the format, then abort
the install, boot with your w98 cd and install.
