ftp mdb files

I have always been able to ftp access 2000 mdb files using ftp through ie or
through a third party programme. That was until now. For an as yet unknown
reason I can no longer ftp mdb files. I constantly receive the message 'A
system call that should never fail has failed'. I have tried a system
restore to point I know I could ftp mdb files, I've tried reinstalling ftp
programmes, I've tried reinstalling Access, but still no joy. I can upload
and download any other file type just not access 2000 mdb files. Can anyone
suggest a solution??

Looks like a Winsock problem - try repairing Winsock....
If using WinXPSP2.
Start|Run
NETSH WINSOCK RESET
click OK
Reboot and try again
