loging in to ftp site using IE6

I am trying to log into an ftp site using IE6 to upload a file.
I am able to ftp to the site using ftp://ftp.mysite.com
Then I need to LOG IN so I select FILE--> Login As

On SOME COMPUTERS there is not enough space in the box to enter the entire
login-ID. This ID was assigned and cannot be changed. In other computers
there is plenty of room for the full ID.

Anyone know how to get around this problem?

My browser (on my personal PC) supports about 50
Other people support about 40
I have no idea what controls this

Are the systems with the smaller limit set up in Windows with a
larger-than-standard font size? Larger font sizes are very poorly
supported.

Have u tried pasting it in & even tho it doesnt show all chars
hitting RTN/OK anyway? Sometimes chars dont show but they r there.

Cannot figure why the box on some computers is smaller than others.
I can put in a much larger nuber of "iiiiii" than "wwwwwwwwww" so it is
definately size limited.

If I was looking for a setting in preferences for the FONT that is used to
fill in this box, what parameter would I use. (What is this type of box
called)

Only place where font size & dimensions of message box,... is set =
Display Properties>Appearance Tab & Display Properties>Appearance
Tab>Advanced.

Make sure Display Properties>Appearance Tab>Font Size= Normal

Next we should google this NewsGp history.

Just tried it - no go.

put ftp addy in IE & rt-clk empty part of page & choose login. U'll
likely get same box as under file menu but what the hell
