FTP for XP SP2 RC1?

I see SP2 RC1 is out, but the HTTP site is swamped. Anyone have an FTP
site for it so if a DL stalls I can at least resume it???

You may want to get a download manager. FlashGet Works Good. Do a Google search for download managers.

Why on earth do you wish to install a release candidate version that's
almost guaranteed to do something odd to your computer?

Unless you have a secondary system for test purposes, don't come whining to
us when it all goes pear shaped!

Hmmmmm... Which part of "Anyone have an FTP site..." did you miss? If I
was looking for a "download manager" I probably would have asked for
one, ya think?

I appreciate your concern, but I have no intention of installing it on
an important system. I have 3 scratch systems here for just such uses.

I just want to find an ftp source, guys. If there isn't one, that's
fine too and I'll wait for the servers to calm down, but I have some
time now and I'd like to get it now. So, is this file offered anywhere
on an FTP server?

Are you asking to download SP2 or what? If you are you'll need a download manager. If not then why are you asking a question?

WOW That's not a very good way to get an answer.
I don't believe it is available through an FTP site. I'll give you an answer
anyway regardless of your sarcasm.

I'm kind of interested in all the problems everybody keeps saying they've
had installing it. I first ran it on my test box with no problems
what-so-ever so I installed it on the 3 boxes we actually use everyday and
again no problems.

Well, I used a download manager to install mine. If I used the regular way, It would keep failing. I basiclly needed help. I eventually got it downloaded. I have it saved to CD for later use. So I don't ever have to download it again.

Yeah I did the same thing. It burns a hell of a lot faster than it downloads
and since I already put it on my other computers to see if I'd have any
problems it would have been dumb not to burn it.
I got lucky and there wasn't much traffic on the site yet when I downloaded
it. I didn't need my download manager and was done in less than 30 minutes.

Good job. Your one of the blessed ones. I was happy that I got it done in the middle of the night when traffic is slow. I'm using the hard drive I installed it on right now in this chat window. I have 3 hard drives. 1 with SP1 and updates. 1 with SP2 Build 2096. And 1 to play around with, it only has 2GBs on it, so I can't do much with it. The SP2 hard drive I have 6Gb on that. And The SP1 with Updates is 30gbs. Gotta Love Microsoft for giving us something to do.
