FTP connection problems

I have a website. I have two means of acess to it, through FTP, and through
my Cpanel. For some reason, I suddenly can no longer acess my FTP or my
Cpanel. For Cpanel, it shows a "page cannot be displayed" error. For my FTP,
it cannot find the host. I have asked a few friends to try the Cpanel and
FTP, they work fine for them. I cant use windows FTP, or any FTP program. FTP
and Cpanel also doesnt work for me on any of the sites hostsed by my webhost
(serverselect).

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

I can't help but I have a similar problem that's been killing me for almost 3
weeks. I run www.blackstoneclub.com, and mid-afternoon one day, for no
apparent reason, I lost my FTP access to it. Then within 24 hours or so, I
lost my Web access to the site, too. Ever since, I've gotten timeouts on the
FTP, and Page Cannot Be Displayed errors on the Web. The site works fine,
and FTP access from all other computers is fine. I can't ping the server but
my Web hosting company says they disabled ping, and tracert does work, though
it takes a while to make the connection.
I've checked the hosts file, run several anti-spyware and anti-hijacker
programs, even reinstalled XP SP2. Nothing. Any additional suggestions
would be appreciated.

Ben, one little thing you can do in the meantime, by the way, is
www.net2ftp.com. That does work for me.

I have found a fix, but it is rather inconvienient.
If you use an FTP proxy for your FTP, and a HTTP proxy for your HTTP, it
works.
This shouldnt be though. My friend suggested an error with my DNS settings,
but I have never editted them, and barely have much knowledge of them to be
able to fix them. Any ideas from anyone else?
