FT-THUNK(Kernel32.dll)

I installed DiabloII.It installed and passed all the video
tests.When I open it up and click on play the following
message comes up:unable to load function FT-THUNK
(Kernel32.dll).I have installed and played DiabloII
previously with no problems. Any ideas on what happened?
Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

I get this with EverQuest and AVP2 when trying to run it
in Win98 compatibility mode. Disabling the compatibility
(right click on the program icon or shortcut, then click
on the compatibility tab, then you will see the checkbox
for the version of windows comatibility) fixes the error,
but the game(s) still crash at random intervals.
