My computer freezes around a half hour after I turn my computer on. I posted
last week about getting a failure to respond on a rundll32.exe. I thought
that that error message may have something to do with it freezing. I have run
both anti-virus and ad ware in safe mode. This action did not help the
matter. I am half tempted, even though I am uncertain on how, to reinstall my
software.

Any suggestions?

Thank you - Matt

When you said "computer freezes", did you mean the PC shuts down, or did you
mean the monitor goes dark? I had a similar problem with my PC a couple of
weeks ago whereby my PC will start and boot up normally but after several
minutes, my monitor goes dark (indicator light turning amber). I opened up
the case and visually check the components as the computer first boot up.
The culprit was my video card. It's fan froze causing some components to
overheat. I replaced the card and found JOY.

my computer sometimes does that and if i keep it on for ages then it has a
little icon in the corner on the task bar saying virtual memory mimumum too
lol.

at that point i have to manually press the rest button or choose to wait 5
minutes each time i click. my solution to this problem is going to be to buy
some more virtual memory (MB of memory) which is in a strip which you place
into your 4 allocated slotts in yor pc and then wolla you have a faster pc.

virtual memory is memory that the computer uses to store your tasks as you
do them and the more memory that can be held on virtual memory rather than
saved permenently on a hard-drive the better as it is alot quicker to acess
from virtual memory rather than the hard drive.

the largest amounf of virtual memory i think you can buy is 1GB but anything
is good to help the speed.

note that this approach is only if you have as you said run spywear and
antivirus as those two severly slow down your pc alot. also if you search
google for 'spybot search and destroy' then i find that program helps alot
and finds lots of problems and also if your antivirus popus upo straight away
(AVG does) when it comes in contact with a virus you will find that spybot
will help it to find some more as it runs as will the spywear i think.

cheer and i hope this helps
