Frontpage search form

Does anyone know where I can find a reference that shows
what all of the options in the frontpage search webbot
mean? I am looking for a way to change the server that the
bot looks to for its catalog.

Is there a way to make the frontpage search bot look to a
different server than the web server for it's catalog?

I have a web server and a file server, and i would like to
be able to search the files on the file server. Would it
be easier to just create a catalog to scan the file
shares. But then, how do I change the bot to look at the
different catalog?

An answer to either would be really helpful.

You would have to create a catalog within Index Server that index the
content that you want the FP search component to have access to, this is not
a FP issue, but a Index Server issue, and you can get better help on if this
is possible and/or how to do it by posting to the Index Server newsgroup.
