Sandy

Hey everyone,

I'm running Windows 2003, IIS 6.0, Frontpage 2002.
Everything is working fine, but since the server has been
brought up, last week, Frontpage has gone down to a
literal crawl when I try to open my website from inside.

It doesn't matter if I'm on a client, or on the server
itself, Frontpage is just taking an abnormally long
time..minutes..to open a website that should open in a
second or two. Nothing in the event log, and the server
itself is barely using any resources at all.
Any Clues?

Thanks in advance,

Sandy

1.. Delete the cached (and possibly corrupted) copies of your webs - Close
FrontPage, and do a Find | Files and Folders | Named *.web, and delete them.
2.. Delete your FrontPage Temporary Files - With FP running and your web
open, Tools | Web Settings | Advanced, delete Temporary files.

Thanks Kathleen,

Frontpage started acting normally (speedy)when trying to
open our web after I started and stopped the WWW service.
Does doing this (restarting the service)automatically
clear the Frontpage cache, or no?
I'd really like to know...

Thanks again,

Sandy
