Frontpage Errors

When I began working on a website, I could open it in FrontPage, edit it,
save it and watch the webpage change. Now when I try to open the site I get
a message "To edit http://www.chiltonconsulting.com/ in FrontPage you need to
create a local copy on your computer, edit the local copy, and then publish
changes you made to your Web server using Remote Site View. How do you want
to transfer files to and from your server? a) FontPage Server Extensions b)
WebDAV c) FTP d) File System or e) HTTP".

WHy did this change? Which is the best to use? And is there a quick
tutorial or advice?

I have never seen or heard of this. It sounds as if it's something your web
host must have implemented.

Website does not appear to have fpse installed so you won't be able to open
it "live".

Is this something that the ISP Host would have done or is this something that
I could have messed up?

It used to work and now it does not. Is this something I can ask the host
to repair>

The host needs to install the FrontPage Extensions. If it used to work then
they must have changed something unless you used a FTP program to transfer
files which could have corrupted them.

I used MS Frontpage 2003. Made the changes and saved them. I never used an
FTP protocol. I will contact the web host and see what we can work out.

Contact you web host, as they appears to have removed your ability to edit your live/remote site
directly in FP. I would select the a) option for publishing, but you must have a current copy on
your local machine to edit and then publish.

= contact your host to reinstall them
