FrontPage & CPanel Subdomains, Help needed!!!

K

Keno

I want to add subdomains to my web, I followed these steps and it
worked pretty fine:

Step 1. Create the pages for the subdomain in FP as a subweb of the
main domain's website. The folder name of the subweb MUST be different
than the subdomain name you plan to use.

Step 2. Use FP to publish the website - be sure to tell it to publish
subwebs too.

Step 3. Use Cpanel to create the subdomain. The subdomain name MUST be
different than the subweb name used in FP.

Step 4. Redirect the subdomain to the subweb folder.

Now, every time I publish my web with frontpage (subwebs included) all
redirections just dissapears... I can not to setup redirections again
and I have to delete my subdomains at cpanel, create it again and
redirect again to subweb folder... If i need to publish 10 times, i
have to delete, create and redirect all my subdomains at cpanel 10
times... It's driving me crazy.

Thanks in advance for your help...

Create the sub domains in CPanel first.
Then create them with the exact same names in FrontPage and then publish.
I believe you got the process backwards.

OR: For example when I want to set up a password protected area using
Cpanel, I create an empty folder and publish.
Then password protect the new folder with CPanel, then add the content in
FrontPage and then publish again.
