Frontpage 2003 and Office 2007

I installed Frontpage 2003 on my Vista Home Premium system that
already had Office 2007 installed.

Since the install, the "E-mail" shortcut (the built-in one) on the
start menu has been non-functional. It previously showed a modern
Outlook 2007 yellow envelope/clock icon for "Microsoft Office
Outlook". Now it shows a low-res white and gray envelope.

When I click it, an error message appears reading "The item you
selected is unavailable. It might have been moved, renamed, or
removed. Do you want to removie it from the list?"

The "Set Your Default Programs" gadget doesn't have any effect. I
select "Set This Program as Default" for "Microsoft Office Outlook"
(the description is for Outlook 2007) but the icon on the start menu
still doesn't work.

The "Set Program Access and Computer Defaults" gadget only offers
"Use my current Microsoft e-mail program" or "Windows Mail". It's
already set to "use my current Microsoft..."

I can always just disable the built-in E-mail icon (from "Customize")
and pin a normal Outlook 2007 icon to the start menu, but is there any
way to restore the functionality of the built-in icon?

Try repairing the Office 2007 installation by rerunning setup. For Office
issues here are some appropriate newsgroups:
microsoft.public.office.setup
microsoft.public.frontpage.client
