FrontPage 2002 upload file control and Unix servers

I'm trying to put an Upload File control on my website but have not been able to access the checkboxes on the new folder's properties options. I've contacted my web hosting company and they think it's because their servers are Unix instead of Windows based. Is this true? Can I not use FrontPage's upload file control with a Unix server? If so, what's my best alternative

Yes, I'm using HostSave.com and according to the info on their website, they've go FrontPage 2002 server extensions installed.

Your host is correct. They won't work on UNIX/Apache web server.

Do you support Frontpage

We currently support FrontPage 2002/2000/98.

FrontPage 2002 extensions are used on your account when you enable them by installing Frontpage thru your Hostsave control Panel. FrontPage 2002 extensions are backward compatible with earlier versions of FrontPage.

To enable FrontPage (extensions) for your account, go to FrontPage Setup in the control panel

I have used my control panel to enable the FrontPage extensions

Thanks, Tom. Someone at HostSave suggested I use a CGI or PHP to accomplish what I want (allow photo files to be uploaded to a folder in the website) but I'm not a pro at this. Is there some place that will explain the procedure in easy-to-understand terms?

I have been using this for two years with no problems.

Your host will need to provide a cgi-bin and the location of Perl on your
server, so that the script can be set up correctly. Documentation (about
psupload) is provided.
