Just need to know how to transfer my pst Outlook2003 to Outlook2007. I have a
great amount of (important) data that can not afford to let behind. If I
can't do this, then is not wise for me and others to upgrade to Outlook2007.

I am trying to copy and past all my mail folders and contact lists (3) to new
laptop Vista Office 2007( old and new). I have copied and pasted pst folder
and actually ALL folders to new laptop from:
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

When i open outlook on new laptop, only my mail got imported from inbox.
sent folder is empty and so are all my contacts. (i have 3 seperate contact
lists).

I have a portable hard drive that i use to export data from old to new.
What is the path i would use to copy and past my contacts from old to new? I
did copy and paste ALL files i saw in path above but still no contacts. I
have exported each individual pst folder and all contacts seperately as well
but when my old laptop crashed, my computer guy was able to copy and paste
everything back in so when i opened outlook, everything was there. i thought
there was a way to do this through c: prompt to copy and paste everything all
at once and NOT have to export each individual file to portable hard drive
which is what i'm now having to do.

do you know if this is possible?

The correct method for transferring Outlook data has not changed with
Outlook 2007. Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data transfer:

Didn't you read any of the guides linked in the post you replied too?
They answer all your questions and tell you not to use import/export.

yes thanks,,,,,i DID read all of them and NONE of them answer question for 2007
as i said below, i did copy and paste but none of my contacts came over. I
know this can be done cuz it was done on my old laptop that crashed and they
copied and pasted pst....why are the contacts, sent items and all my
subfolders i created not importing?
i am wanting to copy everything and paste into new c:]\ and NOT have to
export and reimport each individual subfolder and contact list. i have too
many.

please just tell me if this can be done. all the articles i read said to
copy and paste pst but the above are not coming over?

Copying over the pst-file is only the first step. After that, reconnect to
the pst-file by File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
All your data will be there. NEVER overwrite any existing pst-files during a
data transfer.
Believe me, it's really in those guides.
