PST file compatibility 2003 > 2007

Is Outlook2003 pst compatible with Outlook2007 pst?
Looking to upgrade to 2007...

I try to do it from Outlook 2000 to 2003 and the pst file was not
compatible...

I have OL 07 and Vista Ultimate. Can I get OL 07 to find and use my old pst
file? I know there is a windows.old file on my c drive.
